stunning grounds near delamere forest and nunsmere
the beautiful grounds combined with the peaceful atmosphere really made my strolls enjoyable. The quick access to delamere forest for those nature walks adds such a bonus to the experience.

Family with kids suitable getaway
Let me tell you about the staff. They were all very polite and professional. John the porter even went out of his way to help us with our luggage while the kids were causing a ruckus.
Sure, it wasn’t exactly a bargain, but we made it work.

the staff were nice when u could find them but some little things like flies around the window and it could use a bit more seasoning on the food.

The stunning grounds and charming atmosphere grabbed my attention right away. I stayed in the Luxury Double room, and it was spacious with a lovely view. The bed felt comfortable, and the amenities were nice. The staff were friendly, always welcoming, and eager to help. I particularly enjoyed the tasty dinner at the bar, the flavors were spot on. the breakfast left much to be desired. I found the choices limited and felt the quality slipped, especially for a hotel of this caliber. There were long waits for service during breakfast, which was frustrating. I also encountered a loose toilet seat in the room, which could have been fixed easily. All in all, the ambiance and service were memorable, but there are definitely areas needing attention to enhance the overall experience.

The dining experience was top-notch, with a spread of cold meats and local delicacies that had me swooning! Plus, the lovely grounds were a great spot for a peaceful stroll, and the staff were immensely welcoming.
The noise was a killer with the fire door slamming, keeping me up until the wee hours. Plus, I paid extra for a 'lake view' room and had to squint to actually see any water – not exactly what I expected.

More seating options for relaxation would be helpful.

I stayed in a Double Junior Suite, and the room was spacious with a charming character. It had a nice comfy bed and a good selection of amenities. Beautiful views of the grounds add to the vibe. On the downside, it was pretty noisy with the fire door slamming, which disrupted my sleep. the lake view wasn’t that impressive, had to squint to see it. But overall, I liked the space and feel of the room.

It was just a balanced option for a short-term stay in Oakmere with good value for price. The evening meal was delicious, especially the starter and main. Consider asking for alternative drink choices if you're not satisfied with the options.
